Great Jaguar XJ-S publicity photo

Probably from 1984 when there were three models to choose from in the UK. The inline-six AJ6 3.6 litre engine was introduced in the XJ-S in advance of the new 1986 XJ6 saloon (XJ40). The XJ-S V12 continued alongside.

  1. That’s a fantastic snapshot of Jaguar history — the transition era when the AJ6 3.6L brought a fresh balance of power and refinement while the V12 still ruled with classic elegance. Photos like this really highlight how iconic the XJ-S lineup was in the mid-80s. For anyone keeping their classics in top shape, this vehicle repair shop in Dubai is also a solid resource.
