New bonnet struts

It seems like this is going to be a repeat as I have seen this before:

In this case it was worse, the previous owner(s) did use a piece of wood to overcome the situation of failing struts:

It's pathetic. What's the matter with these people? How much effort and money does it take to get this nicely fixed. And also could have avoided some nasty damage on the corner:

If you spend a few hundred quid on new tyres and brakes it would be a minor thing to get this sorted as well. In any case, I had them ordered earlier this week at our friends of SNG Barratt. Even though the shipping price was a bit high it turned out they deduct the money if shipping costs happened to be lower as indicated. Excellent. Total price including shipping € 65,-

Replacement only took 15 minutes. So another Wheeler Dealer action. So easy and so rewarding. The new struts works like a charm :

And for those interested, the old items. Turns out it had two different struts as well. Oh well, they are binned now. Another item ticked off the list. Next please.
